Tinklyn Xiang

Tinklyn, a grade 11 student at Magee Secondary, is ecstatic to have been appointed as the president of the Canadian Firefly Foundation. During the challenging times of the pandemic, Tinklyn had a profound encounter that forever changed her perspective. She met a courageous 9-year-old cancer survivor who inspired her with their resilience and determination. This encounter ignited a deep-seated passion within Tinklyn, motivating her to take action and make a difference. As the president of the Canadian Firefly Foundation, Tinklyn is dedicated to empowering individuals, particularly children and young adults, to embrace their creativity and find solace, joy, and inspiration through artistic endeavors. With a strong affinity for art, painting, and performance, Tinklyn aspires to utilize the Canadian Firefly Foundation as a means to employ creativity and illuminate her community with positivity and inspiration.

Calvin Liu
Co - President
As a junior at West Point Grey Academy, Calvin is exultant to be a co-president of the Canadian Firefly Foundation. He enjoys each and every oppurtunity to spend time contributing towards solving some of his community's challenges, whether it be helping prepare fundraisers or working with other foundation leaders to organize the next upcoming event. Calvin has a passion in social policy, and believes that the platform that the Canadian Firefly Foundation provides can help create change in the lives of people it touches. He is incredibly excited to motivate a new wave of leaders in giving back and contributing to generating positivity in their neighborhoods and communities. The art of service is a harder art than any other to master, but through his experiance in the foundation, Calvin has prioritized working to create as much impact as he could.

Austin Liu, a G10 student and aspiring artist from St. George's School in Vancouver, Canada, is thrilled to serve as the Vice-President for the Canadian Firefly Foundation, focusing on production and graphic design. With a deep passion for visual arts that began at a young age, Austin explores themes of personal identity and societal issues through his art. As a leader in his school's art club, he organizes student work to raise awareness of social issues. Austin has showcased his artwork in various community features, aiming to inspire and make a positive impact.

Vice - President
Zaria Xia, a Grade 10 student at Kistilano Secondary School, is delighted to become the Vice President of the Canadian Firely Foundation and apply her skills to make a tangible impact on the lives of underprivileged individuals. In addition to her philanthropic endeavours, Zaria also has a range of personal interests and hobbies. Drawing is one of her passions, allowing her to express her creativity and imagination. Whether it's sketching, painting, or digital art, Zaria finds solace and joy in the world of visual arts. Zaria is dedicated to using her passions to bring positive change and improve the current circumstances faced by those in need.

Darren, a dedicated vice president focusing on technology and communications, attends Richmond Secondary High School. While excelling in his academic pursuits, Darren also finds joy in various hobbies, such as badminton, swimming, and playing video games. However, it is his deep passion for crafting websites and coding that truly ignites his creativity.However, his true passion lies in crafting websites and coding, which prompted him to join the media design group at the Firefly Foundation.
