Economic Case Competition Crash course

he Canadian Firefly Foundation recently organized an extensive crash course on exceptional economic case studies through a three-day Zoom session. This event featured Aaron Lu, an exceptional grade 12 student from West Point Grey, who emerged as the victorious participant in the esteemed Canadian Spring Strategy Case Competition. Thanks to the collective efforts of the organizers, attendees, and volunteers, the event successfully raised a total of $500. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to everyone involved for their invaluable contributions in making this event possible.

UNICEF Competition Promotion

The Canadian Firefly Foundation and UNICEF collaborated to promote the 9th Drawing World Youth Cup at various community centers in the Lower Mainland. Thank you to the dedicated volunteers for their hard work in distributing 200 posters at 40 community centers, stores, and schools. Your efforts made a positive impact on empowering young artists.

UNICEF Youth World Cup Art Lecture

The Canadian Firefly Foundation hosted a Free Art Lecture for the UNICEF Youth World Cup, featuring guest speaker Mrs. Vivian Wang. Vivian Wang, a graduate of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, brings her unique concepts and experience in Chinese and Western aesthetic education. Her students, attending prestigious schools worldwide, have been awarded substantial scholarships, including individual university scholarships valued at up to $135,000 USD. We extend our gratitude to all the organizers of this remarkable event for their hard work and dedication.

Fall Plant Sale

Canada Firefly Foundation hosted a Fall Plant Sale to support the "UNICEF Tent School" Initiative. The event raised $1200, funding 12 tent schools.

Summer Gala x Bittersweet Lemonade

09/21 - Krispy Kreme Donut Sale X Children’s Hospital

In support of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month at BC Children's Hospital, we held a Krispy Kreme donut sale fundraiser. Thanks to the efforts of organizers, distributors, and buyers, we successfully raised around $1100 for the hospital. Your support and donations made a meaningful contribution to cancer research and the well-being of courageous children. Thank you for being part of this important cause.

10/2021 Cancer Research Fundraiser

The Canadian Firefly Foundation wholeheartedly supported the BC Children's Hospital Cancer Research Foundation through a series of successful fundraisers. We are proud to announce that we have donated $800 to the BC Children's Hospital Cancer Research Foundation. This contribution will aid in advancing vital research for the benefit of children's health. This event featured an Art Exhibition for local youth, along with art workshops in support of the UNICEF 9th World Youth Cup Drawing Competition. 2021 China Highland Donation/Clothing Drive

Thanks to the tremendous support received at the "Warmth Art Exhibition," we were able to raise over $10,000 overnight. This generous contribution allowed us to donate more than 300 winter jackets to children and teachers in the China Highlands. We are incredibly grateful to everyone involved in making this event a resounding success. Together, we have made a meaningful difference in bringing warmth and comfort to those in need.

10/2021 Krispy Kreme x UNCIEF Canada Donut sale

The School-in-a-Box program is committed to offering educational resources and a conducive learning environment to children in crisis-affected areas. Our recent Donut Sale event was a tremendous success, generating $2507 (equivalent to 5 tents) in funds for communities in dire need of these educational services. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who took part in this fundraiser, as your support has made a significant impact. We would like to express a special thanks to 4921 Book House for generously providing the venue for the donut sale, making this fundraiser a reality.

November 2021 Clothing Drive

In November 2021, we organized a Clothing Drive for Poverty Alleviation. The event was a huge success, with the community coming together to donate clothing items for those in need. Volunteers worked tirelessly to sort and organize the donations, ensuring that each item was in good condition. Local businesses and community members also made generous contributions. It was a heartwarming display of compassion and support for those affected by poverty.
